The Lucky Dip Club...

The four months I have been recieving boxes from the 'Lucky Dip Club' which is ran by the wonderful Leona who used to run 'Lady luck rules o.k' jewellery brand and also runs 'Thriftola'.

Here is a terrible video I have taken of an unboxing of the summer box for August...

So as you will have seen you get a great selection for just £15!!

You receive the box on the 25th of each month and get a personalised gift as well as many vintage treats!

There is also always a super fun crafting kit in the box so you can have fun making/ personalising your own things...

What boxes are you subscribed to??

Feeling Crafty..

Today I feel like posting a crafting post as I had a bright idea the other day and wanted to share it!

We had some old gold frames that were being binned at work a few months ago which I saved two of, which have just been sat in my room tucked out of sight...

I have been really unsure what type of pictures I wanted in the them, wether its a blown up sized photo or a painting.

The bright idea I did have was to visit Paper chase and purchase a couple of sheets of gift wrap and do this:

So now for the price of £2 a sheet, I have some individual pieces of 'art' and I can now get on with the task of decorating my bedroom.

W7 Cosmic nails fun...

So W7 sent me this lovely nail polish and cosmic dust duo, it's been a while since ive gone for a metallic sheen to my nails as i have been picking up a fair few Matte shades in all different colours...

I was really excited to use these because of that as I dont have anything similar in my collection!

The colours I have are '157 Starry Nights' in the nail polish which I found to be best used as a top coat over a lavender toned colour. This is a beautiful gold flecked with hints of purple in it when the light catches it.

I had many compliments on my nails whilst ive been wearing this!!

The other nail art I have is the W7 Cosmic nail dust in charcoal...

This is really lovely to use and comes in a HUGE shaker which make it easy to apply and means you get great value for your money as its only £3.95!

Im planning on sprinkling it over my ring finger over a bright pink polish when im next changing my nails...

On the picture below you can see how the glitter looks wshen poured over the nail and used with the nail polish!

I have been wearing this combo for just over a week now and ive had very minimal chipping (which is a really good sign as I work in retail I often need to re-do my nails almost daily!).

I will definitly be purchasing other colours in the future, have you ever used W7? what do you think?

Baking and making...

So today I did a little bit of baking... But not cakes or bread or biscuits!

I went with Fimo and cooked up a few brooches and earrings and necklaces, really good fun!

My favorites are the yellow chick and the burger :)

What do you think?

My dressing table...

A favorite blog post of mine is always the room inspired ones when I get to be a little nosey and snoop around other peoples things and see what I would have in my perfect room...

So I thought id post a little blog about my dressing table and what I tend to keep out on display due to use/ looks pretty...

Firstly I have my georgous Smashed glass mosiac cotton pad holder I purchased about a year ago from Wilkinsons of all places!!

I think they still have this range in and im tempted to update our bathroom with all the other lovely peices from the collection.

A small selection of current use nail polishes, whilst I change my nails almost twice a week I do tend to have a few that are in top rotation.

Currently as im making use of the 'summer' feeling... (I cant let it go just yet!). im using golds and yellows.

A selection of my fav. rings of the moment...

My 'E' for Elizabeth brooch I purchased from the Lucky dip club. I just love the retro stylings of this and the lovely colours means it goes with eveything...

But currently im displaying it on my dressing table as its so cheery in the mornings.

Lush haul...

So apologies about the lack of posts in the last week, but ive been busy seeing my sister and her fiance as well as my parents and seeing some work mates!

Phew! Well bit more back to normal now, so today I had a *ahem* small shopping trip to Lush on my lunch break...

And I bought a few bath bombs and moisturisers, I've had a huuuge obsession with lush for years now and have tried as many products as I can afford!

(sadly I cant justify just yet buying everything in the shop no matter how hard I try)

Starting from the top left and working clockwise with the info they post on the website:

1. Granny takes a dip- This ginger, pepper and lemon-scented bath bomb turns your water psychedelic and puts some colour in your life. Simply drop into a warm bath and watch as its fizzing centre dissolves into multi-coloured waters. Its spicy, citrusy scent will pep you up: lemon oil boosts the mood, while ginger and pepper are warming.

2. Rose Jam- Pep up your spirits in a bath filled with Rose Jam: lemon, rose and geranium oil will help perk you up, while coconut oil and shea butter leave you feeling gorgeous. You’ll end up feeling as cheered as though you'd been been given a bunch of flowers. Rose oil and rose absolute give a double dose of rosiness, helping to clear the mind and boost your mood.

3. Imperiaus- (No online info for some reason?) A moisturiser with Cocoa butter, tiger lily and orange flower cream. Its a lovely light one for skin thats combination. Personally im praying this isnt discontinued as its an old favorite of mine ive used for years...

4. SkinDrink- Quench thirsty skin with this cream packed with nourishing oils and butters, avocados, aloe vera and a light rose and orange neroli fragrance. Forming a light barrier against the elements, this is ideal for all weathers and is especially good for soothing the skin and helping it feel more supple.

5. Space Girl- A space-dust filled bath bomb with a sweet and fruity fragrance. Once you drop this into your bath, Space Girl crackles with space dust (popping candy) as it spins around your orbit, restoring your good cheer. Grapefruit oil is refreshing and uplifting for the mood, clarifying and toning the skin, while bergamot makes you feel relaxed and cheerful.

Next ive taken a photo of a couple of empties/ bits im finishing up so i can take back the black containers and choose a FREE facemask -How good is that??

Have you ever tried any of these? what do you think of Lush? :)
